Beth Ahabah Synagogue
Home to one of America's oldest Jewish congregations — and a Tiffany window.
About Beth Ahabah Synagogue
Beth Ahabah is home to the first Jewish congregation in Richmond — and just the sixth in the United States — founded shortly after the Virginia General Assembly enacted the Statute for Religious Freedom.
Its neoclassical sanctuary is known for its proscenium arch, a pipe organ with more than 2,000 pipes ranging from 6 inches to 16 feet, and 29 stained-glass windows, including one by Louis Comfort Tiffany.
