St. Joseph's Villa
The nation's longest continuously operating children's nonprofit, founded 1834.
About St. Joseph's Villa
On a beautifully manicured 84-acre campus near I-95 and Parham Road, St. Joseph's Villa is the longest continuously operating children's nonprofit organization in the country. It was founded in 1834 by the Daughters of Charity to care for Richmond's orphaned and impoverished children.
Today it is a non-sectarian organization serving children and families facing mental illness, homelessness, autism and other challenges through eighteen programs that serve 3,000 children and families each year. Encorepreneurs have coffee in the administration building's rotunda, then move to the beautifully restored chapel.
